A World About Love (2012) Directed by: Rajiv Patel
Imagine a world where you could not act the way you wanted. A world where people may judge or even use physical abuse just because of the way you are. This brief film narrative provides audience members with images, facts, and scenarios in which gay marriage is something that is not a norm within society. Marriage is defined as a woman and man, whom share a special bond, declaring their love for each other till death comes upon them. However, many individuals are closed minded and completely shun the idea of two men or two women being together and sharing that same type of love for each other. What's wrong with that? Why can't people just be more accepting and shut away the negativity? Within this narrative, it addresses a gay couple with intentions and joy of getting married but are slowly criticized through other people's thoughts about same sex marriage. From hearing opinions about it through acquaintances to even friends, they go on a enging journey to fight for what they believe in. Love is a beautiful thing that people can either accept as a whole or not at all. Regardless if its a man/woman or man/man sharing their love for each other, it should not matter. Love is just one of those things that is ultimately open to all endless possibilities. When you ask yourself what marriage or love is, what do you think?
