You see it everywhere you go. Whether you are turning on the television with a bunch of
commercials, opening up your laptop to surf the Internet for the latest news,
or even hearing hair raising statements on the radio, electronic hate speech is
everywhere you go. Cyber bullying,
which has sadly lead to the increase in teenage suicide rates, has been a hot
topic these days, but it is not the only type of electronic hate speech that is
infiltrating our global society. For
years, terrorism and other forms of discrimination have also found its way to
get its negative messages across. Unfortunately,
we have powerful figures in our society who utilize electronic sources to spew
their hateful messages.
This short film will hence look at electronic hate speech in
the media in all shapes, styles, and forms. We will show you accounts of people affected by this type of
hate speech and how it impacts society.
In other words, we will display the domino effect of spreading hate, and
the implications it has for everyone involved. You can’t escape it, and it’s hard to ignore it. However, it is what people do with this
information that sets individuals apart.
