Electronic Hate Speech; seeing this
phrase may immediately link your mind to the concept of cyber bullying, however
there are many other subcategories under this phrase, including forms of
terrorism, discrimination, and dehumanization. We will be exploring the ways in
which plans of hate are endorsed on the Internet and the ways in which young
people may be under attack by or exposed to hate. It looks at the line between
hate speech and free speech, offers a general idea of pertinent legislation and
voluntary industry codes, examines the framework in which hate occurs and
explores solutions and responses. I cannot control what is said on the internet, all I can do is tell stories and hope they lead viewers in the right direction - away from hatred.
