Same Sex Marriage by Tiffany Phan

Same Sex Marriage (2012)
Directed by : Tiffany Phan
Imagine being called hurtful names, being pushed and shoved to the wall, not being accepted by society, and feel that you can't fully be with someone you love because society won't accept. The definition of marriage from the beginning is joined by a male and female where they vow to love each other til death do them apart. However, there is a situation where sometimes two women or two men are in love and want to spend their lives together. Most cultures around aren't used to the idea and sees it as a sin, and should be prohibited. We see children not accepted by their peers and family and eventually leaving them in this lonely world with no guide to how they can find that love one to fulfill that empty spot. Marriage is about two individuals wanting to share their life together, through anything that can come by, so why can't same sex marriage be pass in all countries? Sometimes people need to reason their ethical ways and see the broader picture. This film starts with a world of having the norm being homosexual, and there is a hetero couple who gets the rough end of the stick. The friendships that are involved develops into something more serious, and eventually hurting each other because one of them can't go through it. The girl backs off and denies that she ever had any relationship with the guy. She then goes back to her girlfriend. The movie ends by a suicide act and with statistical notes. We need to remember the definition of love, and how it can still be fulfill through marriage whether you put a man and a woman together or two men/two women together. Love is love.
