I fought the law

As I read daisy miller I got the idea that daisy is a free spirit, that of which everyone perceive of Americans.
She went to an other country and didn't want to be dictated by anyone, she was free to be on her pursuit of happiness with some Italian boy. this brings up the idea that a single story could be dangerous, which is a strong belief to some people, which is why some books are banned from schools, and I could clearly see why a country could ban the book. Because it only takes a single idea to change the world, and to these girls  that were reading these banned books, were getting motivated to pursuit freedom, to no longer be dictated by government that tell them they cannot have freedom, by changing there appearance and protesting that which they did not like.

People start noticing when someone is not conforming to the social standard , just like in Daisy miller. Usually when a forceful government see someone rebelling they try to enforce their "law" in which ever way possible, to not cause more uprising ,but to contain the issue, like which we see in the story.
